What we did for ARA

ARA is a smartphone app for blind and visually impaired people: point your camera, and ARA tells you what it sees. We designed and built its waitlist site in English and Arabic, from the brand's own print, written to make sense when heard as much as when seen.

See it live: ARA, opens in a new tab
  1. Built from ARA's own print: the iris dial, the blues, the wide capitals

  2. English and Arabic pages, with Arabic fully right to left

  3. Written to make sense when heard, for screen reader users first

  4. A hero phone that moves through four modes, with a pause button

  5. A native waitlist form, with WhatsApp as a second way to join

  6. A privacy notice and an accessibility statement in both languages
