Checkout extensibility
On Plus, the information, shipping and payment steps of checkout can be customized. We build checkout UI extensions and branding, so gift options, delivery notes, upsells and trust messages sit inside Shopify's own checkout.
Shopify Functions
Discount, shipping and payment rules your business needs and no app sells, written as Shopify Functions in a custom app that stays yours. Custom apps built with Functions run only on Plus.

Do you need Shopify Plus?
Most Shopify brands do not need Plus. Basic, Grow and Advanced already include B2B with up to three catalogs, Shopify Flow, Markets for every country and public apps built with Shopify Functions. Plus pays off when you need something only Plus does.
Stay on your plan if

- One store with Markets covers every country you sell to
- Up to 15 staff accounts are enough for your team

What Plus costs
Shopify lists Plus at $2,300 USD a month on a three-year term, or $2,500 a month on a one-year term. Larger, high-volume businesses may also pay a variable platform fee based on revenue. Agency work is separate.

What is Shopify Plus?
Shopify Plus is Shopify's plan for larger, high-volume businesses. On top of the Advanced plan it adds a fully customizable checkout, custom apps built with Shopify Functions, unlimited B2B catalogs, up to nine expansion stores, unlimited staff accounts and priority 24/7 support.
How much does Shopify Plus cost?
Shopify lists Plus at $2,300 USD a month on a three-year term, or $2,500 USD a month on a one-year term. More complex, higher-volume businesses may also pay a variable platform fee based on revenue and business model. Agency work, apps and themes come on top.
What is the difference between Shopify and Shopify Plus?
Both run on the same platform. Plus adds what larger brands need: custom steps in the information, shipping and payment pages of checkout, custom apps built with Shopify Functions, unlimited B2B catalogs with deposits and partial payments, nine expansion stores, unlimited staff accounts, Launchpad for scheduled sales, higher API limits and priority support.
Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?
Not always. Shopify B2B works on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, with up to three catalogs below Plus. Plus adds unlimited catalogs, catalogs assigned straight to companies and locations, deposits, partial payments and payment requests per fulfillment.
Are Shopify Functions only available on Plus?
No. Public apps from the Shopify App Store that use Shopify Functions work on the Basic plan and higher. Custom apps built with Shopify Functions, made only for your store, need Shopify Plus.
What happened to Shopify Scripts?
Shopify stopped the editing and publishing of Scripts on April 15, 2026, and every Script stopped running on June 30, 2026. Discount, shipping and payment rules that ran as Scripts now need Shopify Functions or a public app. We rebuild them as Functions and test them before they go live.
